Our Little Vacation

Tyler was getting sick of being in Edmonton and was ready for a break so we decided to pack up and drive to Twin Falls, Idaho. Yes we took Quinn and Rocko and yes we are crazy. We thought we would be able to make it there in 15-16 hours depending on stopping time at the border so we packed up and were out of Edmonton by 7:30 pm. After a quick stop at the border we were cruising down the high way in Montana when we hit the most wicked storm EVER! It was like slush snow and it was the middle of the night and it lasted form Shelby to past Great Falls and apparently in Montana they only have snowplows from 6 AM to 6 PM so we were out of luck. After a dramatic stop in Great Falls we decided to keep going it took us about 3 plus hours to get from Shelby to 30 miles past Great Falls making our LONG trip even LONGER! Anyway we finally arrived at 1:30 and Tyler quickly hit up the golf course and I quickly hit the couch for a nap! We had such a great time there. Here is a picture log of our trip.

Tyler's excited to go golfing face. Even after driving 18 plus hours through the night he was still up for a round of golf upon our arrival. Too bad the weather was better in Edmonton for most of our visit.
We brought Cohen some new movies and some new cars and he was definitely excited about both. Him and Tyler played cars many times during our visit.
We took some Easter pictures. It was a lot of work. Not really looking forward to Quinn being a two year old.

Quinn & Mason hung out whenever Mason wasn't sleeping...which was most of the time! So Jealous!

Cohen loves Tyler so much its ridiculous. He has loved him for as long as he has been on this earth and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
Cohen enjoyed two easter egg hunts and was much better at the second than the first.
The cousins on Easter Sunday. Notice the chocolate in Cohen's teeth? They were full of chocolate a lot of the weekend. Also notice my daughter chewing on her hands? Yep that is because she is getting 4 teeth. Yay...We had a fire and broke in Muff's firepit she bought last July...Quinny wished she could have some smores. Maybe next time.

I introduced Cohen to the joys of puddle jumping. We found some earthworms and tried not to get run over. I was freezing but Cohen did not want to go inside. He is oblivious to cold when he is having fun.
My talented and amazing husband painted the ceiling and walls to help Muff escape the banana she was living in...Oh ya I guess Denton helped too.

Rocko and Fenway were reunited and enjoyed each others company as always. This was a brief period of downtime in between playing, knocking over pop onto computers and destroying their toys.
We went swimming at our favorite hot spring on our last day right before heading out and it was awesome. It was Ty's first time swimming with Quinny and she of course loved it like the little water baby she is.

So there you have it. We also spent some time eating Mexican food (Tyler is a fan of the taco bus), eating out as a family with 3 little kids...not so fun, shopping, and playing Fifa. It was an awesome vacation and the ride home was much more pleasant with great weather and we made it to Raymond in 9.5 hours and had a nice visit with Tyler's family. It was so nice to be home for a couple days before Tyler starts his last stretch of school before he is done! Thanks for a great visit Muff, Dent, Cohen, Mason & Fenway. We miss you already!
