Jasper Place Denture Clinic

This post has been a long long long time coming. It all started around February of this year. Tyler had been graduated for about 7 months and was coming home every night grumpy and annoyed because he just didn't enjoy his job. He loved what he was doing, being a denturist, he just really was not receiving the respect, pay, and learning at his job that he had hoped. We had been in discussions and done research on dental school both in Canada and in Australia. Tyler had spoken on the phone with a representative from Australia and we were kind of leaning towards trying to get into school there. One night we were laying in bed and during some Australia research Tyler just randomly decided to look if there were any Denture clinics for sale in Alberta. There happened to be one in Edmonton that seemed promising. So just for fun Tyler called the guy and went to see the clinic the next day. It all snowballed from there. Tyler eventually put in an offer and a price was agreed upon. Before we could move forward we had to buy a house all the while keeping quiet so Tyler's boss would not find out and lay him off. Long story short after a lot of meetings with banks, lawyers, accountants, family, and tons of paperwork Tyler finally opened JPDC on September 4, 2012. 

The clinic is located in Meadowlark Mall (a health mall) and has taken off better than we ever could have expected. Tyler is the youngest denture clinic owner in Alberta (proud wifey!) Tyler is working close to 60 hours a week to keep up (can anyone say single mom??) and he comes home every night feeling fulfilled and excited with the prospect of our future. We feel so blessed that this all worked out and we definitely know that this is where we are supposed to be.

My family all wanted to see Tyler's office when they were here so we got the security guard to let us in and enjoyed a little tour. It was fun to see Tyler showing it all off. And who doesn't love the sweet advertising pictures!
