To continue on with summer before I get too far behind! Muffy and the boys DROVE! all the way up to Edmonton on the 20th of August and stayed for a week. It was so much fun to have them all here. We were busy busy the whole time and felt like such good moms. It worked out perfectly that my mom was at a school conference so she was here too. The only one we were missing was Lisey who was sadly (for us not for her) in China.
Muffy and the boys were so excited to meet baby Scar for the first time. She was 6 weeks old and it was killing them. Mason and Cohen were so good with her. I can't wait for them to have hopefully have a baby sister in February!! Quinny was pretty excited to have them here too.

We hit up the Jurassic forest just outside Edmonton in Gibbons. It is definitely worth the drive. The dinosaurs were so lifelike. They moved and made noise. I seriously loved it. Quinn was somewhat terrified most of the time but the boys were in heaven. It was a great outing.
We had a good time at home also. Whenever Scarlett was awake someone was holding her or touching her or staring at her. All the kids felt it necessary to be right beside her at the same time...
On the 22nd we celebrated Muff's 29th birthday. She was away from her house and her husband so we tried to make it the best we could. We of course had some poutine at Costco. We also bought some angel food cake for a birthday cake since Skor cake seemed a bit overwhelming for us. As a quick side story...don't judge my bad parenting...We were at Costco with all the kids and my mom. Scarlett was asleep in the cart my mom was pushing when Mason decided he needed to go to the bathroom. My mom offered to take him so away they went. I thought I saw her push the cart that had Scarlett as well as our purses in it with her so I continued on shopping happily until my mom returned and found us at another part of Costco with no cart and NO SCARLETT! We took off running to the spot we had left the cart and there she was sleeping away in her cart in the EXACT SAME SPOT! No one had touched her or our bags. I was amazed and beyond grateful. So many bad things could have happened!
We also hit up the splash park. It was beautiful weather while Muffy was here. Her kids are a little splash park wimpy due to the heat they are used to in Idaho but Quinny was in heaven.
We met up with Tannis and Mom for a late dinner at the Melting Pot. It was delicious as usual and luckily we had Tyler around since we left him home with the 3 older kids almost every night Muffy was here!
We had our very own biker gang. Pants and shoes are optional around here.
Tannis and Nathan had there "preception" in Beaumont. The kids looked cute, Tannis was gorgeous and the decorations were perfect. They had the most delicious cocktail weiners wrapped in bacon. I seriously ate like 20. Muffy's kids managed to spill and stain their white shirts and Quinn managed to surprisingly stay clean. It was a beautiful night full of love and mosquitoes.
The last day before we headed to Southern Alberta we had a picnic at the Legislature. It was perfect minus all the wasps. Scarlett spent the majority of her time in a stroller or carseat and usually asleep. Have I mentioned that this baby is a dream. She was carted everywhere and ate most of her meals covered up but she was happy and perfect through all of it. LOVE HER!
The kids loved the pools of course. Cohen told us the waterfall was "fantastic!" I sure love those boys and it was so fun to spend time with them here in Edmonton. We can't wait till they come back!
