Christmas 2013

Christmas 2013 was spent with the Dudley's this year and it was perfect! We headed down on the 21st and after a really really REALLY long drive (sliding sideways and almost hitting a semi, many bathroom stops for the potty trainee, and food stops for the baby) we made it just in time to head over to Grandpa Smith's. Tyler enjoyed the cabbage rolls and Quinn enjoyed her new doll from Grandpa and Joan. Scarlett was perfect and cute for her first time meeting her Great Grandpa Smith.

On Sunday after surviving church and being there for Carson to be made an Elder! we headed over to Grandma & Grandpa Dudley's for some chinese food, fun and presents. They were heading down to Boise the next day so we had to see them while we could. It was so fun to hang out with the Ericksons a bit too. I definitely missed Amy and Brandon and it was fun to see them home from Australia!
Quinn LOVES to have tea parties and Grandma obliged by putting her in the high chair.

Grandma & Grandpa recently returned from another trip to Cambodia (where they served their mission) and brought the kids back some sweet pyjamas! Here they are with 5 of their 10 Great grandkids.

They also gave all of us these amazing nativity ornaments. They were hand painted with the year and the cousin number on them. Such a cool present.

Later that evening we decorated gingerbread houses. Team TylErSon was pretty stellar. We definitely won with all our colourful decor. It was an intense competition against Team BrAyOn!

We didn't really have anything planned for Monday the 23rd and quickly kiboshed Monette's idea of carolling…definitely not singers! So pizza and the movie Frozen it was. Quinn actually wore her 3D glasses! The movie was so good! Even Scarlett enjoyed it!

Unfortunately Scar came down with a bit of a fever and a wicked cough. It was pretty sad. And she slept like crap therefore I slept like crap. Oh well what would Christmas be without a little sickness.

Christmas Eve we headed over to Lethbridge to watch the live nativity. It was beautiful as always. Then after some cabbage rolls we headed over to Scott and Susie's for white elephant gifts. It was pretty hilarious. I even scored Phase 10! We went home and did Gramma Jammies, played ping pong and I fell asleep. The rest of the kids had to follow tradition and watch a Christmas story…or slept through it in Tyler's case!

Tyler's Mom has taken over the tradition of "Gramma Jammies" and this year they were to die for cute! I love love love them! Good Job!

Christmas morning was amazing. Quinn got her scooter she has been asking for for months as well as so many other presents. Even Scar got spoiled! It is so much fun to see Quinn loving Christmas. Makes it magical again. I gave Tyler his first gun (Thanks Tim!) and he got me a new leather jacket among many other things. It was a great morning!

We had a delicious lunch at Grandma Nicki's complete with chocolate fridgedaire cake. Mine and Tyler's favourite! We visited with all the cousins and aunts and uncles then got to spend the rest of the day relaxing. It was perfect.

Boxing day I played basketball and Tyler and I got to get away for a quick shopping date. We had such a great time this Christmas. It was worth it to pack all our crap and take it down to spend time with family. We played lots of ping pong, video games, and just enjoyed being together. Can't wait till next year!

Now onto Christmas with the Wildes!
