Then we went out to stony plain and had dinner with the Peacocks. We don't get together often enough! It was great to spend time together. After dinner we went to the live nativity. It wasn't as cold this year which was nice!
The next day was already Christmas Eve! We continued our tradition and went to the WEM waterpark. This year Zac and Hilary and Tannis and Nathan joined us. It was empty and we all got to ride tons of slides. The kids are getting braver and able to ride more and more slides! After swimming we got Lengs Chinese and headed home for dinner.
After everyone left the kids got to open their pajamas.
We read the Christmas story and the kids were asleep in minutes! Tyler and I did the final preparations for the morning and headed to bed. It is so great to sleep in your own bed on Christmas !!
Christmas morning was great! The kids got spoiled of course. They got a ton of Polly pockets, Lincoln got cars, paw patrol, shopkins. My mom gave me an instant pot which I LOVE! Tyler got some new crossfit shoes and a go pro. Tannis and Nathan came over for a bit too.
Since Christmas was on a Sunday we went to sacrament meeting and to a short cookie social following then headed home for dinner. Tannis and Nathan and Zac and Hilary helped with dinner and it was delicious! Hilary made a turkey and I did mashed potatoes. The broccoli from my instant pot was perfect. I continued the tradition of Skor cake for dessert.
We spent the evening snuggled on the couch watching some Christmas shows. It was a great Christmas!!
