More Summer Fun

The fun never stops with us. We left Fairmont on Saturday morning and headed back to Raymond to Tyler's cousin Max's wedding. We unfortunately didn't take any pictures but it was so fun to be there. Rae looked beautiful. We are happy to have her in the family. It was so fun to be able to catch up with some of Tyler's cousins that live super far away. We have missed them! Tyler has a pretty cool extended family. I can see why they had so much fun growing up together. We finally headed home just us after our marathon vacation with family and the girls were wiped.

We enjoyed some summer fun at home before we headed out on our next adventure. The weather in July was amazing. Almost no rainy days and hot hot. We definitely took advantage and spent most of our time outside.

For the August long weekend we continued our tradition and camped in Jasper with the Starks. This year we were happily joined by the Famulaks as well. We had quite the little posse of 3/4 year olds.
We each took care of a meal which made the planning so much easier. It was so fun to hang out all day together and then sit by the fire without kids at night. We are lucky to have such awesome friends! Amy and Brandon just happened to be in Jasper for a wedding so they came over both nights and enjoyed the camp fire with us. It was so nice to see more of them. We miss them way over in Australia!

Scarlett was so dirty the entire time. She crawled everywhere and ate way too much dirt. But she was pretty  happy about it!

All the meals were amazing. Robin and Kyle did tin foil dinners that were amazing. Nick and Carrie put together a delicious breakfast, and we did smokies and watermelon.

We headed up to Athabasca Falls. They were beautiful as usual. We walked around on the paths and enjoyed the beauty. I really love Jasper.

This year we found the most amazing lake. Lake Annette had a place for a fire for lunch and the most amazing beach. The water was warm enough to swim and sand was nice. The water also didn't get deep for way far out so it was pretty safe for the kids. We stayed there all afternoon and all got burnt. It was awesome!

The clouds started rolling in just as we were leaving the lake. We decided on some pizza at our favorite pizza place in Jasper. Then we wandered some shops and enjoyed ice cream.

We sure do love this crew of people!

We got another fire going that night and despite some rain sprinkles enjoyed a late night around the fire. The next day we packed up and headed home. We sure do love this annual Jasper trip!
